I love reading posts on someone else's blogs which recomend other very interesting blogs and tutorials so I have decided to start publishing A LITTLE BIT OF INSPIRATION posts where I am going to write about blogs which inspire me. Right now am in Poland with my daughter Olivia so I am not able to make any cards or scraps which reminds me to ask my hubby to take pictures of cards I made before I left for Poland.

Today I went to one of my favorite blogs of Susan Weinroth who recomended fabulous quilting blog CLUCK CLUCK SEW I found very interesting not only for people who quilt but also scrapbookers and photographers - you can sew a camera strap! Go check it out - it has many tutorials! Enjoy!

My first cascade card made for our close friend

who got sick a week ago.

Thankfully she is better now recovering from surgery.

I created it with limited supplies - everything else is packed.

I used new K&Company paper and MS doilies.

Tomorrow we are moving back home!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

This is one of Christmas cards I was able to make in the beginning of November. Later in the month life happened and I lost the access to my craft room, which is almost packed and all craft projects must wait until March, when we will move back to our house in the end of February.

I hope 2011 will be slightly less exciting and calmer than 2010, which was overall a great year because Olivia was born and I got USA permanent resident card (Green Card).

I would like to wish all of you very Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

A week ago Olivia attended first birthday party of Finnegan and his big sister Bianka so I had finally opportunity to create something for kids.

For the first card I used MS punch and K&Company paper. For the second card I used also MS punch and very cute stamp images which belong to my friend Kelly, but I don't know the brand. I hope you had nice weekend!

Please don't think that I was too busy or not inspired to create. I wasn't. Everyday I try to spend some time at my desk. My list of people who I owe or promised some cards is getting longer and longer but I am trying to do my best and here you can see some results.

Hi everyone,

It is rainy day today so we will not spend too much time outside unfortunately. So far we had to skip morning walk but I hope I will be able to stroll Olivia in the neighborhood later. My mom spoiled my little girl with walks while she was here visiting us for 5 weeks.

Anyway, today I would like to show you a card which I made for James' friend's parents. I think it doesn't seem finished. For me it misses some flourish stamps, but I realized of that when everything was glued together. Oh well!

James' older brother got engaged so I made for him and his fiance two cards.

Why two?

Because one week after he had proposed he was deployed to Afghanistan.

This way each of them will get a card.

We keep them both in our prayers.

The wedding is planed for fall 2011.

After 3 months in Poland with very limited scrapbooking supplies and after 1 month of adjusting back to my American life I made a LO yesterday. It is simple, now I think that maybe to simple but OH WELL! I have to move to scraping other pictures. The picture was taken at my uncles wedding by my best friend who is a photographer. I really like that picture!!!

Last month my cousin got married, but unfortunately we couldn't be present at his wedding. In the end of September we are going to give them a gift anyway so I made this card to go with it. The middle section of the card is waiting to be filled with printed greetings. By the way it is my first finished tri-shutter card. The previous one doesn't fold correctly!

Yesterday I was asked by my husband to make few thank you cards - business yet personal. They are going to be send to 4 men so I couldn't put any flowers on them. Also I don't have any male stamp - for example a car - so the first card I made had an image of a boat, but wasn't approved so I made these which he likes. I might show you the first card with a boat tomorrow (I just have to take a picture).

A CARD FOR A FRIEND

Our friend from a lovely town of Alexandria near Washington, DC had a surgery last week so I decided to make a card for her. It is going to be also card for a challenge on Polish Scrappassion forum.

In the next few days I will try to share with you about a nice day which I had during Creating Keepsakes Convention in Valley Forge on August 1. I took 3 classes, attended a big crop and did a little shopping.

Uwielbiam wymiany. Zawsze sie bardzo ciesze jak cos dostane ladnego od innej zakreconej craftowo osoby. To jest tak, jakby miec urodziny albo gwiazdke kilka razy w roku. Tym razem bralam udzial w wymianie saszetek zapachowych u Alexls. Dostalam woreczek zapachowy i wieszaczek - oba ozdobione metoda decoupage - od Zuzi (tu mozesz zajrzec na jej bloga gatto-pazzo). W ogole sie nie spodziewalam takiego super dodatku do woreczka, ktory od razu zadomowil sie w szafie z recznikami ( jakims cudem mam tam wieszaczki, ktore nigdy nie wiedzialam do czego sluza, a teraz sie przydaly), a nad wieszaczkiem sie musze jeszcze zastanowic, gdzie go powiesic.

Dziekuje bardzo Zuziu za super woreczek i wieszaczek. Motyw bardzo mi sie podoba!!!

Lately I was taking a part in a fragrance sachet swap, which was organized by Alexls and today I received my sachet and a hanger - both decoupaged with a marine theme - from Zuzia. I like them a lot. Thank you Zuzia.

So far I had a really good weekend which started yesterday (I didn't go to work today), because last night I went to Billy Joel and Elton John concert in Philadelphia and tomorrow I am going to heaven... but I will be back... unfortunately!

Here is my latest scrap which I made for a monthly challenge on Polish Scrappassion forum. I must admit I am a lazy scrapbooker, but challenges make me scrap layouts. Of course like all of us I have everything I need but I have problems with journaling and titles and they slightly stop me from creating 12/12 layouts. I like mini albums though and cards because it is so much easier and quicker to make them.

One more little notebook for our friends. Very simple because it is going to be used on a boat, where they spend their quality time. In June 2006 we were invited to spend with them weekend and we had really great time sailing for 2 days.

Hope you had great Saturday! I had. I can say I was resting. No cleaning ( I only run dishwasher), no cooking - yesterday I made one of my husband's favourite dishes: crepes with mushrooms, spinach and Alfredo sauce - so we had some leftovers for dinner today! I only baked a quick cake with strawberries and whipped cream ( real whipped cream ). I didn't want to use strawberries from store, because they are not real - they grow in green houses and they taste the same all year round, so I went to Linvilla Orchards to get "real" ones. Linvilla is farm dedicated to agriculture, entertainment and education. They raise they own fresh fruits and vegetables that you can pick yourself or purchase in our Farm Market. Their bakery makes delicious pull-apart bread which we love. There is a great playground and additionally children can feed chickens, ducks and see a horse or a goat.

I love plants. Both indoor and outdoor. Because of traveling a lot I can't have to many indoor ones: I only have zamioculcas ( it is great for people who forget to water plants) and 2 weeks ago I bought my first orchid. I hope it will survive and rebloom in the future.

There is a different story with my garden. I love having blooming plants outside. After living in a block of flats for 26 years now I have my own little garden. Every year I buy annuals my husband plants tomatoes and basil. Next year we are going to build a planting box to start growing more vegetables.

These are my first notebooks. I made them about 2 weeks ago. I have 3 more but i can't show them to you, before they get to the new owners. One more thing to avoid drama among my scrapbookig friends: I don't have ZUTTER! But it doesn't change the fact that I would like to have one! For this projects I was using simple blank little books and I only decorated the covers.

Last Saturday I met with girls at the big crop

I had fun and I also got inspired

so last two evenings

I was making these cards.

I am content how they turned out.

I used flowers which I bought in Poland,

which I had for at least last 2 years.

It is realy easy to make if you can crochet.

For me the hardest was the transition

between small and big flower.

In the result of that my first flower is missing

one petal in a big flower.

Kolejny wędrownik moze powędrować dalej.

Temat: BYĆ KOBIETĄ.

Moja kobiecość kojarzy mi się z bardziej intensywnymi barwami,

Kolejny około-lubelski węrownik.

Ten nalezy do Ja-Monia.

Zdjęcie przedstawia prababkę mojego męza.

Zdjęcie wygrzebałam i zeskanowałam podczas ostatniej wizyty u teściowej

we wrześniu zeszłego roku.

Przez całe USA wlokłam się z laptopem i skanerem w podręcznym bagazu

z przesiadką w Denver.

No ale czego się nie robi dla potomnych.

Oryginał zdjęcia na pewno nie przypadnie mojemu męzowi,

ze względu na zbyt duzą ilość rodzeństwa (9 sztuk).

LUBELSKIE WĘDROWNIKI

Po przyjeździe do Lublina poszłam na spotkanie lubelskich skraperek,

gdzie zaangazowałam się w Pierwszą Lubelską edycję wędrowników.

Ze względu na mój wyjazd po Wielkanocy aktualnie jestem zasypana wędrownikami.

Praca nad nimi idzie mi lekko opornie. Do tej pory zdążyłam zrobić swój wędrownik
(bez mojego wpisu) oraz wpisać sie do wędrownika Lary (o marzeniach).

Zasady przyznawania nagrody są takie:Należy wymienić 5 rzeczy, od których jest się "uzależnionym",bez których nie można żyć,a nagrodę przyznać kolejnym 5 osobom,których blogi lubimy/odwiedzamy.

Jestem uzależniona od:

1. INTERNETU:

a konkretniej odwiedzania moich ulubionych stron i WASZYCH BLOGÓW.

2. DOBREJ HERBATY wraz z KUBKAMI I FILIŻANKAMI.

Do zeszłego roku myślałam, że herbata na mnie nie działa

W doniczkach, ciętych, w skrzynkach balkonowych i tych w ogródku też.

Hoduję namiętnie lawendę oraz maciejkę przemycaną z Polski.

W zeszłym roku z braku prawdziwego ogródka, posadziliśmy pomidory w doniczkach.

Zajadaliśmy się nimi całe lato.

5. MOICH PRZYJACIÓŁ I ZNAJOMYCH

tych w Polsce i tych w USA.

Przy odrobinie wysiłku podtrzymywanie dobrych relacji procentuje moim dobrym samopoczuciem i mniejszą tęsknotą za Polską.

3. Napisz, jakie wspomnienia i skojarzenia wywołuje u Ciebie ten utwór.

Odpowiem na tą zabawę trochę inaczej:

Słucham różnych gatunków.
Nie mam ulubionego.
Na słuchanie niektórych wykonawców jestem ‘zmuszana’ przez męża
byłego perkusistę koncertami z piwnicy i czasamu w samochodzie podczas wspulnej jazdy.
Ale także za jego sprawą zaliczyłam też kilka koncertów
w tym The Police, Roger Waters i kilka innych.

On Monday I am flying to Poland for three months

so I will not be able to show real scapbooking stuff

(my mess is staying in Philly ... buuuu)

but I am going to do some digital ones, focus on taking pictures,

maybe some painting (watercolor)

and practise sewing with my grandmom who is a tailor
